LG K10 first impressions: Impressive design, decent prowess
Design
LG K10 flaunts the company's new pebble design, which gives a contemporary and stylish look to the device. The smartphone has a very sleek form factor with round edges that makes it comfortable to hold. LG K10 smartphone comes with a removable textured back panel and sports a button-less front. The volume rocker and power buttons are placed on the rear panel of the handset along with the 13MP rear camera and LED flash. Underneath the back panel lie the removable battery, sim cards and microSD card slots. The display of the device consists of the 5MP selfie camera, LG branding and four soft keys. We can say that LG K10 is an impressive smartphone when it comes to the design and look.
Display
The LG K10 flaunts a 5.3-inch HD display with 1,280x720 pixels resolution. The display produces sharp colours and offers pretty decent visibility, when used under bright sunlight. The display is big enough to offer a delightful gaming or movie experience. The viewing angles were also fine and we did not notice any pixilation.
Hardware
Coming to the hardware, the LG K10 smartphone is powered by 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. The inbuilt storage of the device stands at 16GB, which can be expanded up to 32GB using a microSD card. The device functioned properly without any hiccups. However, we are disappointed with the low RAM capacity and also witnessed some moderate heating issues with the handset. The LG K10 packs a 2,300 mAh removable battery.
Software
The LG K10 runs the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system. The interface is pretty clean and user friendly. The display is dominated by four soft touch keys for back, home, options and the fourth open as the sim switcher. There is an app drawer, which prevents your homescreen from getting cluttered. Moreover, you can also make different folders such as productivity, multimedia etc. in order to keep similar kind of apps together.
