Calm Kidero Or I Lead Mass Exodus, Khalwale Tells CORD After Hiding In Toilet
The Kakamega senator was on Thursday, July 16, 2015, confronted by rowdy youths, believed to be supporters of Evans Kidero, the Nairobi County governor, at Milimani law courts, which were hearing a case between the two men.
It took the intervention of Khalwale’s security detail to restrain the youths from pursuing and roughing up the senator.

Relations between the two politicians have crumbled after Khalwale accused Kidero of leading corrupt individuals who looted Mumias Sugar Company.

Kidero has since sued the senator for defamation in a case that is ongoing and in which the governor has obtained orders barring Khalwale from linking him to the troubles facing Mumias Sugar.

The senator now wants the CORD leadership to resolve his differences with Kidero, failing which he will lead a mass walk out of Luhya MPs.
Both leaders are allied to the opposition coalition CORD.
